Hey guys! This post is not about what I had for breakfast.
It's about how you can do something nice for yourself to ensure you start your day off with a smile, which will more than likely result in you having a great day! In my case, it's doing Crossfit at 5am and eating my breakfast off of these amazing plates I splurged on from Anthropologie! No affiliate links here...just sharing with you some things that help me keep a positive outlook on my day. Last month, my positive morning starter was reading a few pages of Rick Warren's, The Purpose Driven Life. It was almost impossible afterward to not go, do and become. I mean, #lifegoals we are talking here ;)
I know this simple idea seems crazy, but it works. If the only nice thing I can do for myself is eat a meal off of a fancy plate, then I'm gonna do it in hopes that it helps me have a good day, which in return means my husband and kids will also. Because what's that saying, 'When mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy!' That's kinda true...just ask my family ;)
But whatever that means for you, is what makes YOU feel good. It could be working out first thing, it could be taking a bath using one of my amazing bath bombs, it could be having your favorite coffee out of a pretty mug while browsing Facebook or reading a book, meditating, or writing your dreams in a journal. It could just be putting on a little make-up and wearing something that makes you feel really good about yourself, even if you have nowhere to go.
I challenge you to do something nice for yourself every morning...something you enjoy, and see how you feel the rest of the day! I'll bet you'll be surprised.
